On Small Government

As the polls are closing, it is becoming clear that there a new Republican resurgence washing over the country in an awesome wave. Among the most important issues is the desire for a smaller government. The idea that a weak government leads to the best of all possible lives is a joke. The truth is that if government just got out of our way, we would be back in the Dark Ages. This country would be controlled by multinational corporations sending every job to a remote location on the globe, keeping wages artificially low, giving people no health insurance or any other type of benefit, while receiving no education.
